Major Accomplishments in Chemical Flooding

  • Assisted Daqing Oilfield in the development of polymer and ASP flooding started in mid 1980's through mid 1990's leading to the world largest commercial CEOR projects today
  • Developed one of the most successful and effective ASP flooding pilot project for the Karamay field in late 1990.  Incremental true tertiary oil recovery was 26% of the original oil in place (OOIP)
  • Consulted for Cairn India in developing the CEOR program (2006 - 2009) which led to a successful polymer flooding pillow test and the field-wide expansion and an ASP pilot which is ongoing now
